2. What we can help you with

Support can assist in particular with:

- questions about how to use the apps and their available features

- technical errors or unexpected app behaviour

- import, export, and PDF features

- iCloud or CloudKit synchronisation

- App Store purchases, subscriptions, and restoring purchases

- information about updates, system requirements, and required app versions

- suggestions for improvements and feature requests

Support does not replace individual legal or tax advice, professional engineering or technical design services, inspections, formal acceptance procedures, construction management or supervision, expert assessments, or any other personalised professional service. Calculations, review sheets, records, reports, supporting documents, and other app output must be independently checked before being used for professional, technical, commercial, contractual, or legal purposes.

The professional and legal limitations governing the use of each app are explained in the Disclaimer and professional-use notices.

3. Before contacting us

Many questions can be resolved using the following information:

- the user guide and help section for the relevant app

- notices and explanations displayed within the app

- the “More” or “Help & Support” section of the relevant app

- the app description and release notes in the Apple App Store

- available app and operating system updates

Please also check whether the issue persists after fully closing and reopening the app. If the issue concerns synchronisation, also check the internet connection, the Apple Account in use, and the iCloud settings on the affected devices.

Do not delete or reinstall the app prematurely. Deleting an app may result in the loss of data stored locally on the device. Before reinstalling an app, changing devices, or deleting data, make sure that you have an appropriate backup or a verified export of important content, where the app provides such an option.

4. Contact

You can contact SchelloLabs Support by email:

support@schellolabs.de

We process enquiries as quickly as possible. However, no specific response, availability, or resolution time can be guaranteed.

5. Information that helps us respond more quickly

Where possible, please provide the following information:

- name of the affected app

- installed app version and, if displayed, build number

- iPhone, iPad, or Mac model

- installed iOS, iPadOS, or macOS version

- brief description of the expected behaviour

- description of what actually happened

- steps performed immediately before the issue occurred

- exact wording of any error message displayed

- whether the feature worked previously

- whether the issue can be reproduced

- for synchronisation issues: affected devices and approximate time of occurrence

Screenshots or sample documents may be helpful. Please observe the privacy and security guidance in sections 8 and 9.

6. Reporting an error

To help us understand and reproduce an error, please answer the following questions where possible:

1. What were you trying to do?

2. Which steps did you perform, and in what order?

3. What result did you expect?

4. What happened instead?

5. Does the issue occur repeatedly?

6. Is an error message displayed?

7. Does the issue affect only one particular project or record, or does it also occur with newly created test data?

Do not alter or delete important original data solely for testing purposes. Before making extensive changes, reinstalling the app, or deleting iCloud or CloudKit data, create an appropriate backup or export and verify that it is complete, where the app provides such an option.

7. Support information provided by the apps

Some SchelloLabs apps may offer prepared support requests containing either a minimal set of information, sometimes described as “anonymous”, or more detailed technical information.

Minimal or “anonymous” request

This option means that the app does not automatically insert project data, personal data, photos, documents, or complete usage information into the message. However, when the message is sent from a personal email account, the sender's email address, technical email metadata, and any content or attachments added by the user will be visible to SchelloLabs and the email service providers involved. The request is therefore not anonymous in the legal or data-protection sense; it merely reduces the support information inserted automatically.

Detailed technical request

Depending on the app, this option may include additional technical information such as the app version, operating system version, device model, language, region, and the status of certain app, purchase, or synchronisation features. Depending on their content and combination, these details may constitute personal data. Project content, photos, documents, or third-party personal data should be included only if the user expressly selects or attaches them and their transmission is necessary and lawful for handling the request.

Before sending the message, the user can and should review, edit, or remove the prepared text and all attachments in full.

8. Privacy when contacting Support

Only submit information that is necessary to handle the specific request.

Where possible, remove or redact in particular:

- names and contact details of persons not involved in the request

- customer, employee, and project data

- signatures

- addresses and precise location information

- vehicle registration numbers and identifiable persons in photos

- contractual, invoice, and payment information

- confidential plans, bills of quantities, and business documents

- information concerning allergies, intolerances, health, or other particularly sensitive matters

- serial numbers and other device identifiers that are not required

- passwords, login codes, two-factor authentication codes, recovery keys, Apple Account details, and other access credentials

Third-party personal data or confidential project content may be submitted only where this is necessary for handling the request and legally permitted. Passwords, complete payment data, login codes, and recovery keys are not required by SchelloLabs Support and must not be submitted.

Standard email communication cannot be assumed to provide end-to-end encryption. Particularly sensitive or confidential content should therefore not be sent by email without suitable protection. Where possible, use redacted documents or synthetic test data and contact Support before sending any sensitive information that is indispensable for resolving the issue.

Further information about the processing of contact and support data is available in our Privacy Policy:

https://www.schellolabs.de/datenschutz/

9. Screenshots, documents, and diagnostic data

Review screenshots, PDF files, photos, GAEB files, records, and all other attachments in full before sending them. Areas of a document that are not immediately visible, as well as file metadata, may also contain personal, contractual, or confidential information.

Where possible, send synthetic test data or a sample data set reduced to what is needed to demonstrate the issue. Original project, inspection, handover, invoice, time-recording, or supporting documents should be submitted only if the issue cannot otherwise be reproduced and disclosure is necessary and legally permitted.

Apple may provide SchelloLabs with technical crash, diagnostic, or App Store analytics data where the user has enabled the relevant option in the Apple settings or where Apple provides aggregated reports. Whether and to what extent such data is collected and made available to developers is governed by the user's settings and Apple's privacy information.

10. App Store purchases and subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions completed within a SchelloLabs app using the Apple App Store in-app purchase system are processed through Apple and StoreKit.

If a purchased feature is not available, first use the “Restore Purchases” function in the relevant app. Also check that the device uses the same Apple Account for Media & Purchases that was used for the original purchase and that an internet connection is available. Do not make another purchase solely for troubleshooting purposes.

Through StoreKit, SchelloLabs receives only the product, transaction, and entitlement information required to verify and provide purchased features. SchelloLabs does not receive complete credit card, bank account, or other payment details.

Subscriptions completed through Apple are managed and cancelled through the Apple Account. Questions relating to payment processing, invoices, and refunds, as well as final decisions on refund requests, may in some cases be handled only by Apple.

11. iCloud, CloudKit, and data backups

For apps that support iCloud or CloudKit, availability and synchronisation times may depend on factors including the Apple Account in use, iCloud settings, the internet connection, available iCloud storage, the operating system version, and the availability of Apple's services.

Synchronisation is not a substitute for an independent backup. Before changing devices, reinstalling an app, changing the iCloud configuration, or deleting data, export important content, store it in a suitable location, and verify that it is complete and readable.

Deleting an app from a device and deleting its iCloud or CloudKit data are separate operations. A function expressly offered within a SchelloLabs app to delete that app's iCloud data applies only to the data of the relevant app. Other iCloud content, data belonging to other SchelloLabs apps, the Apple Account, App Store purchases, and subscription entitlements remain unaffected.

Once synchronised, the deletion of app data may also take effect on other devices connected to the same Apple Account. The deletion may appear on other devices after a delay and may be permanent. Before confirming a deletion, carefully check which data will be affected and ensure that an appropriate backup is available.

12. Feature requests and feedback

We welcome practical feedback, suggestions for improvements, and ideas for new features. Please describe as specifically as possible:

- your current workflow

- the problem encountered in that workflow

- the feature or improvement you would like to see

- the practical benefit you expect

Submitting a suggestion does not create any entitlement to implementation, a particular scope of functionality, or a specific release date. SchelloLabs considers suggestions within its technical, professional, legal, and commercial capabilities.

13. App updates

SchelloLabs develops its apps on an ongoing basis. New features, improvements, security-related adjustments, and bug fixes are distributed through the Apple App Store.

We recommend installing available updates promptly or enabling automatic app updates. Important data should be backed up appropriately before an update. The features available depend on the relevant app version, operating system, device, settings, and any feature entitlements purchased.
